Building The Whitsundays' own Online Space
After 35 years in the Community, the 2019 MyWhitsunday Local Phone Guide will be our last printed edition. Building on the Guide's legacy of providing information and assistance to the community, mywhitsunday.com.au will be expanding into an online hub for all the people of the Whitsunday community.
Local community groups – from sports clubs to social groups to charities - will have a platform to tell the public about themselves, attract members, and announce their events. At the same time, local businesses will have exciting new opportunities to become involved with the community.
We're kicking off with an upgraded events guide, to be followed by a full directory of local businesses and community groups. We're not stopping there either: there's plenty more to come!
Coming Up
Next Week » Upgraded Events Guide

Feb 2020 » Comprehensive Community Guide
We’ve been hard at work expanding our current community guide to cover a wide range of different clubs, associations, social and civic groups, charities and government services. Our extended community guide will tie in with the events guide and form the centre of our new online space.
March 2020 » Community Noticeboard
Complimenting the events guide, a new noticeboard will allow community groups, businesses and local people to have a voice.
September 2020 » Local History
A wiki-style collection of local history will be available for the public to view and contribute to. A team of moderators will help verify contributions, building a trusted guide to the history of our region.
